One thing that I noticed in your bio is that we were born in the same year. I also checked out the rest of your website and was very thrilled to learn that Dragonsblood will have some of the characters from Dragon’s Kin in the story. The question I have is: Do these stories take place before F’lar and Lessa and the rest of them?

I would love to read more about Kindan, Nuella, and the rest of them as well as learning more about the talents of the watch-whers. What was brought out in Dragon’s Kin really helped in why the watch-whers are the way that they are.

Oddly, you have my niece’s first name and my daughter’s middle name!

Yes, Dragon’s Kin and Dragonsblood take place around the start of the Third Pass. F’lar and Lessa live in the Ninth Pass.

I am hoping to write more about Kindan, Nuella, and the rest as they grow older — even before the events of Dragonsblood. I will say that as it’s currently written, Nuella makes a “guest” appearance in Dragonsblood.
