Letter from Matthew

Got Dragons Kin for christmas, great book! By boxing day tea-time I had finished it, I barely put it down all day. Looking forward to reading Dragonsblood, hope its as good as the rest of the Pern books.

Hey Matthew!

Glad you liked Dragon’s Kin. Dragon’s Kin was similar to Dragonsong and the others in the Harper Hall series while Dragonsblood will be more of an adult book like Dragonflight. And I hope Dragonsblood will be as good as the rest of the Pern books, too!

Todd,

I really enjoyed Dragon’s Kin and look forward to Dragonsblood. I see that you’ll be at AggieCon at Texas A&M in March. Any chance of hearing reading(s) of some of the chapters?

Also, would you consider bringing your daughter? We have lots of children at our convention up to about 10 years old and she would love it here.

Looking forward to meeting you,
Susan Martin

Susan,

I’m glad that you liked Dragon’s Kin!

I might have something from Dragonsblood to read by Aggiecon.

My daughter got a bit conned out between Dragon*con and Loscon last year so I think she’ll sit out Aggiecon.

Cheers,
Todd

Hi Todd,
I’ve read everything your mother has had published at least once, and now I’ll have to keep track of your books as well! I thought Dragonholder was very nice, and Dragon’s Kin was interesting to say the least. Please, please, please hurry the publisher about the publishing date on Dragonblood, as I am getting desperate! As you might see from the email address, I consider myself a fan!

Hi Laura!

Thanks for your lovely comments! Actually, the publishers are just as desperate to get their hands on Dragonsblood as you are to see it in print but I’m holding off until I can finish the revisions suggested by my first draft readers (which include Mum and my sister, Gigi). They gave me lots of marvelous feedback that I’m sure will make the book much, much better.

Cheers,
Todd
