Letter from Renee

Hello Mr. McCaffrey,

I am a huge fan of your mother’s and looking forward to the book that you co-wrote with her for the Dragonrider’s of Pern series. However I am writing this to you because I would like to know if we can look forward to any other mother-son collaborations? I fell in love with the Pern world as an eighth grader in middle school. Now as an adult I find that I still look forward eagerly to any new installment that comes out regarding that series. I would also like to know if you will be starting a seperate series of your own? I was not sure when I was reading the updates of the book that you are working on, if that was for your own series or an addition to the Pern world. Last of all I wish your mother that best of health she is a wonderful writer and a fantastic story teller.

Sincerely,
Renee M. Horn

Thank you, Renee!

Mum and I are talking about more collaborations following on from Dragon’s Kin.

Dragonsblood is set in the Third Pass on Pern.

I certainly plan on writing my own series and have a few ideas that I’ve been working on for a number of years.

Cheers,
Todd

New Readings

New Readings

I’ve finished “Murder with Peacocks” and “Murder with Puffins” and have also picked up “Revenge of the Wrought-iron Flamingos” which I’ll start today.

I’ve also raced through the first three of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series (“One for the Money”,“Two for the Dough”,“Three to Get Deadly”) and will have to see if I can restrain myself from picking up more – I had this wild idea that perhaps my finances would be happier if I used the library more often (my daughter still refers to bookstores as “libraries”).
