I notice on your site you often sugest entering writing groups and competitions.
Is there any you can suggest? I want to enter quite a few competitions with ideas I have and am finding it hard to find sites which don’t require a HUGE entry fee 🙁

Firstly, please feel free to call me Todd.

critters.org is a on-line writers’ group but I find that most people prefer to join a local writers’ group. You might check in to see if there are any local science fiction clubs in your area, they may have a writers’ group.

As for competitions, The Writers of the Future competition charges no fees. To find out more, pick up a copy of their annual Writers of the Future anthology. Not only will you be able to get an idea of a what a winning entry is like, you’ll also find the rules for submission and several articles on writing.
