Tribute

Tribute

I’m pleased to announce that Jim Baen’s Universe has bought my short story, Tribute.

Eric Flint, who wrote 1632 and co-wrote Crown of Slaves with David Weber, is the editor.

I thoroughly loved Crown of Slaves and I know that many of you recommended 1632 to me, so I think it’s safe to say that Jim Baen’s Universe is in good hands.

I met Eric at CondorCon this year when he was Guest of Honor and he flattered me by asking if I’d consider contributing to Jim Baen’s Universe and, now, with Tribute, I have!

(It may well be the first of many.)

Aggiecon39

Aggiecon39

Wow! The nice people at Aggiecon approached me at Dragon*con and asked me then and there if I’d come to Aggiecon39. How could I refuse?

If you’re in Texas, or close by, or just like a good convention, you should really consider getting to Aggiecon — a gem of a convention. Recent Guests of Honor included the Heinlein- and Nebula- award winning author, Elizabeth Moon (yay!). I’m not sure who the GoH will be this year but Aggiecon has a history of inviting up-and-coming authors as their GoH — they invited Mum just before she made it big and they invited me two years before I hit the New York Times Bestseller list.

So, I hope to see you there!

West Hollywood Book Fair

West Hollywood Book Fair

LASFS, the famous Los Angeles Science Fiction Society, has asked me to appear at their booth for the West Hollywood Book Fair this September 29th 2007. I’ll be there from about 3 p.m.

Signing Tour

Signing Tour

There’s been some talk of me doing a signing tour, just on the West Coast, for Dragon Harper when it comes out.

We’re thinking of creative ways of involving Mum, like sending her a bunch of bookplates that she can sign and maybe even doing a reading together especially for the tour.

I’ll do my best to let you know when I know more.
