I heard a rumor that your MOTHER was going to grace Dragon*Con this year with a visit. Is this true or not??

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you for 2 years at Aggie Con.

If I sent you a cover would you sign it & return in a self paid envelope or it this just too many problems involved??

Do you ever think Anne will ever come to Aggie CON since you seem to have become a ‘regular guest’???

Yes, I know this is a lot of questions but if I send them all at once at least one or two have a better chance of being answered. Thank you for your time & effort in this response.

That is: the rumor is true, health permitting.

No, I will not sign a cover and return it. I’ve learned from my mother’s experience that too many valuable keepsakes have gone missing in the post to trust that method. I’ll sign something gladly in person.

No, I don’t think Mum’ll do Aggiecon again — but she might surprise me. I hadn’t expected her to want to do Dragon*con this year.

I noticed that your next book is Dragonheart. When is that set , it’s not in your timeline in the FAQ.

PS: I just finished Dragonsblood and it was the most compelling book I’ve read in years. I stayed up to 1:30 a.m. to finish it the other night.

Dragonheart is one of the “AGIME” (a glimmer in my eye) books listed in my FAQ (and yes, I’ll have to update it soon). It’s set around the same time as Dragonsblood — with a few twists thrown in. Dragonheart started out as one book, morphed into another book, then decided it wanted to get bigger has (I think) split into four books of which the first is called Dragonheart and even that one looks to be a big book! I’m having lots of fun with it and had better get it finished soon!

I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy your books very much and am so pleased that you are continuing the world of Pern. I began my first Pern book at a low point in my life before starting college and now really look at the Pern world not only with fondness but as my little escape. As an avid reader I have read many books and enjoyed the fantasy world of many authors, but none engage me quite the way Pern does. I have loved your mothers books, and now the books you have given all of us fans.
