Pern Match Game

Pern Match Game

I’ve just finished a class on Flash programming. (Those of you who signed on for my newsletter may have seen the FishTank game).

Of course I’ll be using Flash for the website and also for fun stuff.

I just finished producing the first verion of a Pern Match Game which challenges you to a memory match game with the Weyr symbols and twelve of the major Hold shields.

Go here to give it a try!

Splice – LA Premiere

Splice – LA Premiere

Yesterday I got to see Splice, the latest film from Copperheart Entertainment with Sarah Polley and Adrien Brody (or — for some — with Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley).

I got to participate in the full red carpet treatment (and free popcorn!) and it was cool.

It was great to see Steve Hoban of Copperheart get much-deserved praise for his efforts in producing the film and to see the final cut on the screen (Steve had shown me some of the earlier work a number of years back).

If you like horror films in the genre of Alien, then you’ll like Splice. The special effects were great and the script was marvelous — the audience laughed several times during the movie (sometimes at some very ironic moments).

As my daughter is not at all into horror, I brought a film student friend along who totally loves horror films and she was ecstatic.
