Super 8

Super 8

So I finally went to see the film “Super 8” the other day. First, let me say that I was a bit worried. I didn’t like the J.J. Abrams Star Trek first because it did a very poor job of re-writing canon and second because of the camera shake throughout the movie.

Super 8 had neither of these failings. It was a good, solid film and I might just go see it again (I’ve already got tickets to the midnight showing of HP VII/2).

I haven’t been to see a movie in a while — the last thing I saw was Thor because it was directed by Kenneth Brannagh (not only Gildery Lockhart in HP II but more famously as Henry V in the movie of the same name) and that was really disappointing — it made me remember why I avoided the Thor comics (they were, like Aquaman, a read of last resort as a teenager).
