Letter from Frederick

Sir:
I first picked up Dragonflight while serving Vietnam in 1969, since then I have awaited each new book to be published. Your mother was a great writer, which I believe was passed to you. With your books I find the same wonderment and enjoyment as I did with her books. I hope to read more of your books based in Pern, as your skills are equal to your Mothers. I will keep an eye on your Blog and Amazon for new material from your hand, although I now buy the Audio book versions anymore and continue to replace the books as they wear out. I place you and your mother’s writing right beside to Robert Heinlein.

Thank you for picking up her Torch.

Sir,

Wow, thanks! Mum would have been thrilled to hear from a Vietnam vet; her father served in World War I, World War II, and consulted for the UN in Korea. Her brother fought in WWII, Korea, and served in a ‘special’ capacity during the Vietnam era (if you know what I mean). Afterwards he wrote a ‘fictional’ story called Khmer Gold which was quite a fun read.

Thanks for your service (one vet to another ‘tho I was only a ‘Cold Warrior’).

Cheers,
Todd

Sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. Please, contune with the PERN series. I love them and have read them 3 times. Please follow up the Sky Dragons, what happens when the 2000 return to the future. Please do not leave the story hanging. I want to thank your Mother and you for all fo the wanderful hours of stories.

Dear Jan,

Thank you for your kind words. There are stories after Sky Dragons, you may be sure.

However, we’re all still collecting our breaths and sorting through the Estate right now, so please be patient.

Cheers,
Todd
