Question from Rick

Question from Rick

Hi Todd,

First off my condolences on the passing of your Mom, the world will be a poor place without her.

I just finished Dragonsblood & there was an advert at the end stating that Dragonrider would be released in May of 2011. I gather this was delayed due to the loss of your Mom, but is there any idea when we might expect to see this?

Hi Rick,

Thank you for your condolences. In the past few years we’ve lost a lot of remarkable people. I think though, that they would all wish that, rather than mourning their loss, we take up the challenge of brightening the world in ways even more awesome than they had themselves.

With regards to Dragonrider — names change. In this case Dragonrider became (if memory serves) Dragon’s Time which came out in June 2011 as one of the last two collaborations between myself and my mother.

Cheers,

Todd

Rhubarb and Beets

Rhubarb and Beets

My short story, Rhubard and Beets, in Shadows of the New Sun was listed on the Tangent Online 2013 Recommended Readling List.
I wrote this story because Kevin J. Anderson once made the mistake of complaining that he couldn’t find any good purple unicorn stories. So, yeah, if you’re looking for a purple unicorn story, this is it.
To The Nearest Planet

To The Nearest Planet

My novelette, To the Nearest Planet, in the Worlds of Edgar Rice Burroughs, made it onto the Tangent Online 2013 Recommended Reading List.

SFRevu also had nice words to say about it!

It was an intriguing story to write, following on from To the Farthest Star written by the famous Edgar Rice Burroughs so many years before.
