(Wow! I’ve got my very own banner!)

I went to my first Comicpalooza last weekend (June 17–19) and worked with Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta’s WordFire Press crew, launching my AI science–thriller, City of Angels in Texas (the first launch was at Planet Comicon in Kansas City MO).

We also had three of my older Dragonriders of Pern® books: Dragon’s Kin, Dragonsblood, and Dragonheart on sale.

Upright books

(The view of the books on Saturday morning)

I’m both pleased and somewhat chagrined to say that we sold out of all of City of Angels, all of Dragon’s Kin and most of the others!

We also sold out of One Horn to Rule them all: A Purple Unicorn anthology –  our scholarship anthology which raises money for scholarships to the Superstars Writing Seminars. (I have first and last story in the anthology.)

I had a lot of fun talking with people who came to visit the booth and made some new friends with the marvelous folks across from us at Half-Price Books.

I also got to spend some time with Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon, as well as hang out with the amazing Quincy Allen and Alexei Vandenburg.

Next up –  Florida Supercon (July 1–4)!

Question from Tracey

Todd,

I had read in March 2015 Warner Bros. was planning a PERN TV series. I haven’t seen anything about it since. Do you have ever any updates?

Tracey,

Actually, Warner Brothers acquired the film rights.

They renewed their option recently.

That’s all I know.
