Did you know your short story “Tribute” is completely available online at Google Books? I know Jane Yolen and Katharine Kerr are furious about the whole thing. On the other hand, I read the first page and am interested enough to pick up a real copy with royalties to someone.

Thanks for this. No, I didn’t know and I’m not happy.

I’ve opted in to Google Books for a number of things but not this, in fact, it was re-published in Baen’s Universe not long ago.

This is particularly annoying as the Copyright page specifically states that: “All stories and articles copyright of author” and, later, “Scanning and uploading this novel to the internet without the author’s permission is not an act of flattery. It is an act of theft.”

I’ve updated my Google claims to include it, now.
