I have read everything Anne (and most of Todd) McCaffrey except a few of the Acorna novels. I began in my teens (’70’s) and re-read at least a few every year. My favorites are not the usual: I love the freedom’s books and the crystal singer books the most I think. I like the whole “create a culture from scratch” idea of the freedom books. I am a musician, which explains the singer books, lol. My husband and I are missionary/relief? Workers in Papua New Guinea. We even spent a week in a hut on Kiriwina island living in essentially Stone Age conditions (what a rush!) as we brought the island their first ever college/life skills training center- some tables set up under a thatched roof, and a printable flash drive with downloadable courses, lol. I love watching people make the most of what they have, which is a theme throughout the McCaffrey stories. Anyway, I never got a chance to thank your mom, so I’m taking the time to thank you from the bottom of my heart… you rock! I, of course, have dreams of writing a novel some day- I even have an interesting plot line and ALWAYS got full marks and kudos on all my college papers, but am so perfectionist I may never do it – not if they don’t measure up to Anne, lol. Anyway, just wanted to (finally) send a fan letter. You both have given me multitudes of hours of delight/inspiration/spine-tingling suspense throughout my life, and I am forever grateful.
