Letter from Chad

Hi Todd,

I have two questions:

1) I was wondering if you had a scheduled date for an engagement on the West Coast (USA)? I know you were out here not all that long ago, do you have any future dates penciled in?

2) I understand the reason that dragon’s suicide between when their rider dies, but why do dragons physically age so much more drastically than the fire lizards?

With Regards,
Chad.

Hi Chad,

I live on the West Coast. If you check my “Upcoming Events” link, you’ll see where I’m appearing. I’ll be at ConKopelli July 2-5 and I’m hoping the nice people at Loscon will ask me back this year for the annual Thanksgiving convention in Los Angeles.

I’m not quite sure what makes you think that dragons physically age more than fire-lizards. Beyond their initial growth, the only other reference I can recall off the top of my head is C’gan in Dragonflight. Dragons are very long-lived but they *do* wear out just like every other living organism (amoebas replace themselves).

Cheers,
Todd
