“Alien Taste” by Wen Spencer

“Alien Taste” by Wen Spencer

I stayed up all night with this book and when I was done I wanted to go to a bookstore and get the sequels and read them, too!

Mum recommended anything by Wen Spencer and she was absolutely right. Why this book didn’t get a Hugo and a Nebula, I do not know.

Well, actually, I recommend anything in the “Honorverse” by David Weber. He’s developed a very full universe with a lot of interesting mil-sf stories and some really cool politics.

The Shadow of Saganami won’t be out until November, so put it on your wish list (I was lucky and got to read an early version). If you’re waiting and you haven’t yet read “Crown of Slaves”, you should do so. Although if you’ve never picked up an Honor Harrington book, you must start with “On Basilisk Station” and you’re not allowed to stop until you’ve finished the next book “The Honor of the Queen” (after that you’re sure to be hooked).

Mum recommended this and I picked it up. Start with “Agent of Change” then go on to “Carpe Diem” and then on to “Plan B.” There’s more in the series and more to come.

Great stuff!

Go out now, buy it! Read it. You can thank me later.

(Mum recommended it to me and I picked it up last night for a bit of light reading after watching “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow” and found myself glued all the way through to the end at which point it was 2.30 a.m. and I was cursing the fact that there were no bookstores open at that time of night so I could get the sequels and read them, too!)
