Letter from Tania

Letter from Tania

I just finished reading Dragonsblood, and I wanted to thank you for continuing in your mother’s tradition of fine writing. I found that I couldn’t put the book down, I was so drawn into the story you had written. I’ve always enjoyed reading your mother’s books, and own several of the Pern series myself. Now, I shall look forward to more great stories of Pern from you in the future. I do hope you will continue writing them.

Hi Tania!

Thanks! I’m glad you liked the book.

Mum and I are working on two sequels to Dragon’s Kin, and then I’ll write the first sequel to Dragonsblood.

Cheers,
Todd

Letter from Amelia Rose

I just bought your new book “Dragonsblood” and have read about half already. I just wanted to let you know that I LOVE it! I love the things that Lorana can feel with the dragons. I have one question about the timeline on when does this story take place? Is it before Moreta, but after the initial landing on Pern? I recognize a lot of the names from the other stories that your mom wrote, like Sorka and Sean, and Wind Blossom. I hope that your mom is real proud of you and this Pern novel. It is every bit as well written as hers and keeps my interest from the beginning of the story. Can’t wait to finish the book and will eagerly await the next one. Keep up the good work!!!!

Hi Amelia!

I’m glad you like Dragonsblood. It’s set nearly a thousand Turns before Moreta (which takes place in the Sixth Pass) and Second Interval is nearly five hundred Turns after the colonists landed on Pern.

Mum is proud of me, as she says in the introduction. Besides, as I say in my Acknowledgements, she gave me a smiley-face on my original outline!

Cheers,
Todd

Letter from Susan

Just finished Dragonsblood (and it’s only 11 pm — but I did have four hours of class to sit through today) and I really like it. I do like the resolution, though the end caught me a bit by surprise. I wasn’t ready for all the ends to neatly join that rapidly.

So when is the next book due for publication??

Susan

Hi Susan,

I’m glad you liked Dragonsblood! Would you consider going to amazon.com or Barnes&Noble and writing a review?

Dragon’s Fire is still being written so we don’t have a publication date yet.

Cheers,
Todd

Letter from Nhorad

Dear Todd

I’m taking a break from my story “homeland”(which I plan to give a complet overhaul to) and I’m writing a new book, called “Project Draconicose”. So far, so good, it’s going much better than Homeland. But, I think I’m going to change Homeland to the humans point of view.(harder to write in dragons perspective, lol) Well, wish me luck, I’ll keep in touch.

Sincerly

Nhorad

Hi Nhorad,

I’m glad to hear that taking a break with one story is helping you on the other. Good luck and keep at it.

Cheers,
Todd
