Question from Kathie

Question from Kathie

I was wondering if there would be a book to wrap up Lessa and F’lar’s story after the end of thread. I know your mother mentioned she was outling or working on one, just wondered if that might be in the works. Thanks

Kathie,

No one’s working on it at the moment.

I get the question a lot, so you’re not alone in wanting one!

Cheers,

Todd

Question from Colleen

I love the Pern series but also like the Acorna series as well. I believe there are either 5 or 7 books on Acorna and would like to know if there are going to be any more.

Godspeed,

Colleen

P.S. My condolences on the loss of your mother. I still miss her.

Colleen, at this moment, no one is talking about more Acorna books. But who knows?

The good news is that Mum’s books are still with us.

I go through and click “I want to read this book on Kindle” at least weekly for the Harper Hall Trilogy. I recently reread my much-loved paper copy and it really brought home the fact that it’s easier for me to read on e-ink (where I can make the font bigger). At the risk of being a broken record, do you have any information on the electronic version of the Harper Hall Trilogy being published in the US?

Thank you,

Andra

I know!

A lot of people have asked this question (including me).

The best I can say is it’s a contract problem and has been taking far too long to get resolved.

The Harper Hall trilogy was first published back in the 70s, way before anyone (except perhaps Isaac Asimov) thought of eBooks.

Fingers crossed!

I just recently learned that your mother had passed a few years ago. Allow me to extend my belated condolences to you and all her family, as well as all of us who are fans.

I first came across the Pern books in 1978 and was instantly hooked. It’s terrific that you are carrying on with them! I was wondering, are there more family members who write, and who may contribute to the Pern series in the future?

Rafi, thanks. She was a marvelous person, as kind and neat in real life as you would expect from her books.

My sister, Georgeanne (aka Gigi), is another who can write on Pern. (Fingers crossed!)

Cheers,

Todd
