As a sort of musician, well cornet player in brass bands, I first invested hard earned cash in Sibelius, then later the American made Finale, along with some cheaper programs and free such as Anvil Studio. Then I found MuseScore, it combines the best of both Finale and Sibelius in its format, and although does have some shortcomings as usual for freeware, it is still an excellent composing medium. Glad you like it and are having fun with it.
